Savory Whimsyfin Delight Effect After October 1

Eat the cooked delight and your character transforms into an Orc Ninja or Orc Pirate at random for up to 60 minutes. The disguise stays on in combat but ends when you die or shift into a form; eat another to roll again. While early beta builds used a Murloc or Ogre costume as a placeholder, the October 1 update replaced them with the Orc-themed counterpart to Classic’s Human Ninja/Pirate Deviate Delight.

If you do farm it, sweep the Redridge quest loop and kill whatever is on the list; the Great Goretusks in the southern fields around 27.2, 66.8Copy are a convenient start.

Where to Fish Whimsyfin in Redridge Mountains

Whimsyfin (251524) comes from School of Whimsyfin fishing pools in eastern Redridge. Look east of Lake Everstill: along the river south of Stonewatch Keep around 60.8, 69.9Copy and 61.9, 70.6, and in the water near the Tower of Ilgalar around 74.4, 62.4Copy. Pools move within these waters, so follow the shoreline if one is not at the coordinate. Fish the pools rather than open water, and aim for around Fishing 150 to land catches reliably.

A raw Whimsyfin is edible too: its tooltip just says “Eat me.” Instead of the disguise, it triggers one of a set of random silly effects, such as dancing or falling asleep.

How to Cook Savory Whimsyfin Delight

1. Reach Cooking 85 and learn Recipe: Savory Whimsyfin Delight (251526).
2. Fish or buy Whimsyfin (251524) and buy Mild Spices (2678).

Why the Old Murloc and Ogre Guides Are Outdated

Early beta videos showed a Murloc or Ogre costume when eating Savory Whimsyfin Delight. Those were temporary placeholder models replaced in the October 1 build with the permanent Orc Ninja and Orc Pirate disguises.
