Talent Calculator

Pick a class to plan its 51 points

Data from WoW Forever beta client 1.60.1.70790·released ·imported ·compared with Classic Era 1.15.9·Changelog

WoW Forever retains the Classic 51-point, three-tree structure (one point per level from 10 to 60), but introduces a fourth 1-point milestone rung at 16 points alongside the classic 11-, 21-, and 31-point capstones. Across all nine classes, 149 brand-new talents and 231 reworked talents replace mandatory Classic tax points—moving formerly required actives like Aimed Shot, Fear Ward, and Blessing of Kings into baseline training while unlocking Dual Specialization at level 40.

How Talents Work in Forever

Each class has three trees and 51 points to spend, one per level from 10 to 60. The trees keep their Classic shape, but 149 talents are new and 231 more were reworked, so an old Classic build rarely carries over unchanged. The table shows how much moved for each class.

Open a calculator to spend points; the link in your address bar updates with every point, so you can save or share the build as it is. Classes with recommended builds let you start from a ready-made plan, with the order to spend each point.

Plan for Your Next Levels, Then Your Final Build

Start with the job you will actually do: solo questing, healing a regular group, or tanking dungeons. Read the recommended build’s use case and spending order before copying its final point distribution. A level-20 build and a level-60 build solve different problems; match the plan to your available points.

Work toward one useful talent at a time. Check both the points required in its tree and any prerequisite talent, then compare the benefit of reaching it with spending points in a second tree. The calculator enforces those requirements, so use it to check the route before changing your character in game.

When comparing two builds, save each link and change one choice at a time. Read the full Forever tooltip for the affected talents: a familiar Classic name does not mean its effect is unchanged. Keep the version that supports the spells you use and the group role you need.

WoW Forever Talent Calculator Common Questions

How many talent points do you get in WoW Forever?

51. You earn one talent point per level from 10 to 60 and spend them across your class’s three trees, the same structure as Classic.

What changed in WoW Forever talents compared to Classic?

Across the nine classes, 149 talents are new and 231 were reworked. A new milestone rung sits at 16 points alongside the 11-, 21- and 31-point talents, and several former must-take actives moved into baseline training, so most Classic builds need a fresh plan.

Does WoW Forever have dual specialization?

Yes. Dual Specialization unlocks at level 40, so you can keep a second talent build and switch between them.

How do I share a WoW Forever talent build?

Open a class in the calculator and spend your points. The address bar link updates with every point, so copying it saves or shares the exact build.

Every character also grows through the account-wide Legacy trees. Looking for spells instead? Open the class spellbooks.
