What Forever Changes for Druids
- Potions, weapon enchants, most doors, and your racial abilities all work without leaving form.
- In Bear and Cat Form your auto-attacks use your weapon’s DPS, so a weapon upgrade and its enchant matter to a Feral Druid.
- Every Druid trains Nature’s Grasp at 10, Revive at 12, Omen of Clarity at 20, and Lacerate at 42.
- Faerie Fire works in Bear and Cat Form at no cost. Tiger’s Fury is gone, replaced by the Feral talent Shifting Power.
- Skyborne can be Druids on both factions.
New and Reworked Druid Abilities
These are the spells the Forever client adds, opens to every race, or hands you without a talent, in the order you learn them. Spells marked with a race are that race’s own.
| Level | Ability | Status | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Nature's Grasp | Was a Classic talent | The next 1 melee attack that strikes the caster will afflict the attacker with Entangling Roots (Rank 6). Castable while shapeshifted. Lasts 45 sec. |
| 12 | Revive | New in Forever | Brings a dead player back to life with 750 health and 1000 mana. Cannot be cast when in combat. |
| 42 | Lacerate | New in Forever | Lacerates the enemy target, making them bleed for 75 damage over 15 sec plus 10% weapon damage per existing application of Lacerate on the target. Causes a high amount of threat. This effect stacks up to 5 times on the same target. |
Recommended Builds
Each build lists the order to spend every point from level 10, so you can follow it while you level. Open any step in the talent calculator to see the build at that level.
Feral Leveling
Levels 10–60, solo questing in Cat Form with Bear Form for tough pulls
0 Balance51 Feral Combat0 Restoration
Cheaper attacks first, then speed, crit, and Primal Bite at 25. Every point goes into Feral Combat, so the build is already a full Feral setup at 60.
Why these talents
- Ferocity makes Claw, Rake, and Maul cheaper from your first point, so you open fights with more resources in both forms.
- Feral Swiftness adds 30% Cat Form run speed and 4% dodge: faster travel between quests before Travel Form at 30.
- Primal Bite, the 16-point milestone, lands at level 25; Blood Frenzy then turns critical strikes into extra combo points and rage.
- Heart of the Wild, Shifting Power, and Rend and Tear raise damage through the 30s and 40s, and Berserk arrives at 50.
Swaps to consider
- Grouping for dungeons as the tank? Take Natural Reaction right after Rend and Tear instead of at the end.
- Feral Charge at 24 is optional while leveling; Brutal Impact or an early Feral Instinct point works too.

Level 60 bear tanking in dungeons and raids
0 Balance46 Feral Combat5 Restoration
Armor, dodge, and Stamina from Feral Combat, rage from Blood Frenzy and Natural Reaction, and Furor so every shift into Bear Form starts with rage.
Why these talents
- Thick Hide, Heart of the Wild, and Natural Reaction stack armor, 20% Bear Form Stamina, and 5% dodge.
- Blood Frenzy and Natural Reaction feed rage on critical strikes and dodges, and Shredding Attacks makes Lacerate cheaper.
- Feral Instinct raises Swipe damage by 30% for holding several targets; Berserk lets Primal Bite hit three targets with no cooldown.
- Five points of Furor give 10 rage every time you shift into Bear Form.
Swaps to consider

0 Balance41 Feral Combat10 Restoration
Full Cat Form damage in Feral Combat, then Furor to recover energy when you shift back into Cat Form and Naturalist for 5% more damage.
Why these talents

- Shifting Power turns Mana into 40 Energy on demand and Improved Shifting Power halves its cooldown; Shredding Attacks cuts the cost of Shred by 18.
- Rend and Tear adds 10% damage against bleeding targets, so keep Rake and Rip up.
- Furor returns your Cat Form energy when you shift back, and Naturalist adds 5% to all damage.
Swaps to consider

Restoration
Level 60 healing in dungeons and raids
11 Balance0 Feral Combat40 Restoration
Deep Restoration for Wild Growth, Swiftmend, and stronger heal-over-time spells, with Genesis and Nature's Splendor from Balance to extend them.
Why these talents
- Gift of Nature raises all your healing by 10%, Improved Rejuvenation adds 15% to Rejuvenation, and Genesis adds 5% to every heal over time.

- Swiftmend, Nature's Swiftness, and Wild Growth give you an instant emergency heal and a party-wide heal over time.
Swaps to consider

Feral Beta Start
Levels 10–20, Cat Form questing with Bear Form for tough pulls
0 Balance11 Feral Combat0 Restoration
The same first eleven points as the level 60 Feral build: cheaper attacks, Cat Form speed, and Feral Charge at 20.
Why these talents
- Ferocity cuts 5 Rage or Energy from Maul, Primal Bite, Swipe, Claw and Rake from the very first point.
- Feral Swiftness adds 30% Cat Form movement speed and 4% dodge, which stands in for a mount before level 30.
- Heart of the Wild adds 6% Intellect and 12% Bear Form Stamina at three points, and Feral Charge at 20 closes gaps and interrupts casts.
Swaps to consider
- Feral Charge and Heart of the Wild can become four points of Furor if you would rather shift into a form with resources already banked.
- Holding several targets in dungeons? Move the Heart of the Wild points into Feral Instinct for 30% more Swipe damage.
Balance Beta Start
Levels 10–20, casting Wrath and Moonfire
11 Balance0 Feral Combat0 Restoration
A faster, half-price Wrath, 25% off every damage spell, and 4% hit with more range on top.
Why these talents
- Improved Wrath removes 0.5 seconds and half the Mana cost from Wrath, which is the spell you cast most.
- Moonglow cuts 25% of the Mana cost of your damage spells, and that is the difference between two pulls and four.
- Nature's Reach adds 20% range and 4% hit to your Balance spells, so more casts land before the target reaches you.
Swaps to consider
- Improved Wrath can be Nature's Focus instead if you are being interrupted more often than you are running out of Mana.
Restoration Beta Start
Levels 10–20, healing beta dungeons
0 Balance0 Feral Combat11 Restoration
Pushback protection, a faster Healing Touch that also raises your damage, and Gift of the Earthmother at 20.
Why these talents
- Nature's Focus gives a 70% chance to avoid pushback on your Arcane and Nature casts, which is what a level-20 healer actually loses casts to.
- Naturalist cuts 0.5 seconds from Healing Touch and adds 5% to all the damage you deal, so the build still quests.
- Gift of the Earthmother takes 0.5 seconds off the global cooldown of Rejuvenation and Swiftmend, which makes your instant heals noticeably more responsive.
Swaps to consider
- Mostly soloing? Five points in Genesis, one in Nature's Reach and five in Nature's Focus kills faster, at the cost of Gift of the Earthmother.
