1. Level Leatherworking from 1 to 300
The leveling route uses Classic Era recipes and training requirements as its baseline; the selected crafts in Section 2 come from Forever client data. If Forever has adjusted a threshold, check your trainer before buying a whole tier of hides. Ranges below are Leatherworking skill; character level requirements sit beside each trainer.
Craft counts are starting budgets, not guaranteed skill-ups — yellow recipes can miss, so top up in small batches. Light Leather, Heavy Leather and Cured Heavy Hide are intermediates: every list counts only what you still need to buy, assuming you keep what you craft.
Stage 1 of 5 · Skill 1–75
Light leather and your first armor kits
At character level 5, learn Apprentice Leatherworking from Randal Worth in Stormwind or Kamari in Orgrimmar; the same trainers teach Journeyman at skill 50 and character level 10. Buy a stack of Ruined Leather Scraps and turn them into Light Leather before the armor kits.

Light Leather is the reagent everything early consumes — make a few more than the plan asks and keep them for the gloves. The Camp Tent recipe at skill 20 is your first Forever craft: a camp object that gives seated allies a place to rest.
Stage 2 of 5 · Skill 75–150
Dark leather and the move to heavy hides
At skill 125 and character level 20, learn Expert Leatherworking from Simon Tanner in Stormwind or Karolek in Orgrimmar to raise the cap to 225. Dark leather pieces use Medium Leather; start curing Heavy Leather as soon as it is available — the next stage runs on it.

Cured Heavy Hide is a crafted intermediate: cure what the shoulders and gloves need while it still gives points, and buy any shortfall rather than crafting grey. Dark Leather Pants stays useful deep into the stage — do not leave it early.
Stage 3 of 5 · Skill 150–225
Armor kits and barbaric gear to the Artisan cap
At skill 200 and character level 35, learn Artisan Leatherworking from Telonis in Darnassus or Una in Thunder Bluff — both stay in a capital, no wilderness trip needed. Specialization unlocks at skill 225 and character level 40: pick Elemental, Dragonscale or Tribal once you know your goal.

Stage 4 of 5 · Skill 225–270
Nightscape leather, then rugged leather
No new rank here — the Artisan book carries you. Rugged Leather replaces Thick Leather from the Wicked pieces onward; it comes from skinning higher-level beasts or converting Thick Leather.

The Wicked Leather plans are vendor patterns rather than trainer recipes — pick them up before the rugged stage. Keep spare Rugged Leather: the last stage is heavy on it.
Stage 5 of 5 · Skill 270–300
Wicked and runic leather to 300
The last stretch runs on vendor and drop plans: Wicked Leather Headband and Runic Leather Headband close the book. Secure both patterns before buying the rugged leather and runecloth they consume.

Plan costs can run deep yellow — budget extra rugged leather beyond the listed counts. At 300 the Sewing Machine camp station and the armor-kit lines below are the payoff.
2. What Leatherworking Crafts Are Worth Making in Forever?
Forever Leatherworking adds a camp tent, a tanning rack, new armor-kit lines and a reagent bag. These client-listed items are the ones worth planning for; availability follows the content that is open.
Camp Tent
One of the first camp objects any profession can place: a tent beside the campfire for seated allies. It shares the one-hour camping cooldown with the rest of the camp line.
Camp Tent
Tanning Rack
A camp facility for field tanning work, keeping the leatherworker useful away from town. Like the tent, it needs a campfire nearby.
Tanning Rack
Sewing Machine
The endgame camp station: leather recipes that need a workstation can be finished at camp once you place it.
Sewing Machine
Light Leather Reagent Bag
A dedicated reagent bag early in the book — keeps scraps, leather and hides out of your main bags while you level.
Light Leather Reagent Bag
Forceful Rugged Armor Kit
The top of the armor-kit ladder: Forever splits kits into Forceful and Mystic lines at each tier, so a leatherworker sells both physical and caster upgrades.
