Razorfen Kraul

Razorfen Kraul Route & Boss Strategy

Razorfen Kraul winds through tunnels of giant thorns, with quilboar camps on ledges along the way. The bosses are simple; the trash is what stops groups, because three kinds of caster can each take a player out of the fight. Pull one caster at a time and the run stays calm. Allow about an hour, plus the escort at the end.

1. The thorn paths

   • Three enemies decide how each pull goes. Razorfen Totemics drop an Earthgrab Totem that roots everyone near it: kill the totem before anything else. Razorfen Dustweavers cast Enveloping Winds, a ten-second stun that often lands on the healer. Death's Head Adepts cast Chains of Ice.
   • Take one of these casters per pull and fight away from patrols, so a rooted or stunned player never drifts into a second pack.
   • Blueleaf Tubers is done along the way: release the snufflenose gopher at the soft dirt spots and it digs the tubers up.

2. Roogug

   Optional
   • A side path near the start leads to him. Warriors need him for their class armor quest; other groups can skip him.
   • An earth elemental stands at his side. Banish it if you have a warlock, clear and control the quilboar around him, then kill Roogug.

3. Aggem Thorncurse

   Boss

   Summon boar

   Calls a non-elite boar to fight beside him.

   • A plain tank fight. Kill the boar when it appears, then return to Aggem.

4. Death Speaker Jargba

   Boss

   Dominate Mind

   Takes control of one player.

   Shadow Bolt

   Shadow damage on one player.

   • He stands across from Aggem with two casters who heal and stun. Any extra pack in his alcove chains into the fight, so clear around him first.
   • Control both casters if you can, at least one, and kill Jargba fast to end the mind control. Crowd-control the controlled player in the meantime.

5. Overlord Ramtusk

   Boss

   Thunderclap

   Damages everyone near him.

   Battle Shout

   Raises his attack power.

   • He hits the tank hard, and two Razorfen Spearhides flank him. Their Whirling Barrage shreds a group, so control both and kill Ramtusk first.

6. The bridge and the bat cave

   • Past Ramtusk the path crosses a bridge. Earthcaller Halmgar, a rare spawn, holds a platform beyond it with an elemental and totems: kill the totems, burn or banish the elemental, then Halmgar.
   • Further on, the bats in the cave drop Kraul Guano for the Horde quest Going, Going, Guano!, and the rare Blind Hunter sometimes hangs here. Casters stop casting when he begins his silencing screech.

7. Agathelos the Raging

   Boss

   Rampage

   He grows faster and hits harder.

   Left for Dead

   A damaging effect that ends when its target moves.

   • The giant boar waits behind a barrier held up by two quilboar. Kill them and the barrier falls.
   • He attacks very fast and stuns the players around him, so the tank must never sit at low health. Hybrids help the healer here.
   • If the debuff lands on you, take a step.

8. Charlga Razorflank

   Boss

   Chain Bolt

   Lightning that jumps between players standing together.

   Purity

   She heals herself. Interrupt it.

   Mana Spike

   She refills her own mana.

   • The crone stands in her hut at the top of the Kraul. Pull her down and tank her on the platform below.
   • Spread out, interrupt every cast you can, and wait out the few seconds when she is immune.
   • Loot her heart or medallion for your faction's quest, and the Small Scroll, which starts a quest leading to Razorfen Downs.

9. Willix the Importer

   • A goblin is tied up near Charlga's hut. Accept his escort after the kill and walk him back to the entrance; ambushes meet you on the way, so let the healer drink first.
