Among the Faithful Route at a Glance

Both factions: All on Zephras Isle: Constable Aonda in Shen'dar Village, south to Falaath Village and the inn's top-floor wardrobe, back to Aonda, then the Falaath ruins and the western watchtower before the report to Valanaar.

Step by Step

Among the Faithful is the quest in the Skyborne starting zone where most new Skyborne (often searched as Skyborn) players stop and wonder what they missed. You walk into the cult’s inn, find the two priests upstairs, and nothing happens. The trick is to hide: click the wardrobe on the upper floor, choose to hide behind it, and let the priests talk. The conversation completes the objective and the chain moves on.

This guide covers the fix, the exact wardrobe spot, what to do when the wardrobe is missing, and the seven-quest Al’Aketh chain around it, from Constable Aonda’s first request in Shen’dar Village to the report you carry to Valanaar.

The Quick Fix

Stuck on Among the Faithful?

Go to the inn on the north side of Falaath Village and climb to the top floor. Skypriest Aanders and High Priestess Lorthuna are standing there.
Look for the sparkles on the floor and click the brown wardrobe next to them, at 48.8, 53.9. On some builds it appears as a bookcase; it works the same way.
Choose Hide behind the wardrobe. When you are in the right spot, your cursor turns into a magnifying glass.
Stay put until the priests finish talking. The objective completes on its own.

You do not need to attack the priests: the conversation only starts once you are hidden, so standing next to them does nothing. Missionary Jasaan tells you to stay away from the inn; that is exactly where you need to go.

Wardrobe Missing or Quest Not Completing

Only sparkles, no wardrobe. Log out and back in next to the spot, or join a group with another player to move to a different layer, then climb back upstairs.
Keep the quest. Abandoning Among the Faithful does not reset the conversation; try the steps above first.
Cultists turned hostile. The Mark of Akir has dropped off. Talk to Sania Silverstream in Shen'dar Village at 44.8, 45.4 to get it back, then return to Falaath Village.
Turn in to Aonda. The quest ends with Constable Aonda in Shen'dar Village, not with Missionary Jasaan.

Skyborne Starting Zone Questline

Among the Faithful sits in the middle of the Skyborne story on Zephras Isle. Welcome to Shen’dar Village and The Criminal Element come first; the seven quests below pick up from there. The chain runs back and forth between Shen’dar Village and Falaath Village, a short walk to the south, detours to the western watchtower, and ends with a longer trip to Valanaar in the southeast. Every quest up to A Last Request is level 8 and opens at level 5; To Valanaar opens at level 6 and appears only after both Havoc in the Highlands and A Last Request are turned in. Alliance and Horde follow the same route.

Step by Step

1 Infiltrating the Cult

Constable Aonda knows that Sania Silverstream, who stands a few steps away, is a missionary for the Al'Aketh cult. You are new on the island and nobody knows your face, so Aonda wants you to use Sania to get close to the cult. Talk to Sania to finish the quest.

2 Falaath Village

Sania welcomes you as a recruit of Al'Akir and places the Mark of Akir on you so the faithful recognize you. Follow the road south and report to Missionary Jasaan at the entrance to Falaath Village.

If the Mark of Akir drops off, speak with Sania Silverstream in Shen'dar Village to get it back.

3 Among the Faithful

Jasaan would normally send you to Skypriest Aanders, but Aanders is receiving a guest at the inn on the north side of the village. Your task is to learn the cult's plans for the Shen'dar Highlands, and that conversation is where you learn them.

Walk to the inn and head upstairs. Click the wardrobe by the sparkles on the floor, pick Hide behind the wardrobe, and wait while Aanders and High Priestess Lorthuna talk. When the objective completes, return to Constable Aonda in Shen'dar Village.

4 Havoc in the Highlands

With the cult's plans uncovered, Aonda sends you back to the ruins of Falaath Village to slay 6 Al'Aketh Stormcallers and 4 Living Lightning, and to bring back Commander Cyclas's Head. Both kinds of enemy fill the ruins between the village entrance and Cyclas, so you can clear the counts on the way to him.

5 The Western Watch

Aonda offers this one alongside Havoc in the Highlands, so take both at once. The cult is attacking the western watchtower in the Shen'dar Highlands, and Aonda wants its peacekeepers called home. Head southwest to the tower and check in with Peacekeeper Vaaniel at the top to complete the quest. The cult got there first.

6 A Last Request

Vaaniel gives this one right away: a bloody note lies with a dead peacekeeper at the tower. Pick it up and read it. His last request leads you to Skypriest Aanders, the priest you overheard at the inn, who is just southwest of the tower with the fallen guards. Defeat Aanders, recover Raani's Favorite Feather and the Shadowsong Family Signet from the same spot, and bring everything back to Constable Aonda.

7 To Valanaar

Once both Havoc in the Highlands and A Last Request are turned in, Aonda hands you a written report for Valennia Stormfist, leader of the island's peacekeepers. Carry it to Valanaar on the southeastern edge of Zephras Isle. Alliance and Horde each get their own version of this quest, and both end with Valennia.
