How to Play
The board holds 16 cards: spells, talents, dungeons and dungeon bosses from World of Warcraft: Forever. They form four hidden groups of four, such as "Frost Mage abilities", "Bosses of The Deadmines" or "Names with Shield". Pick four cards you think belong together; the fourth pick checks them right away. Four mistakes end the board.
When three of your four cards belong to the same group, the board tells you that you are one away. Watch for traps: a goblin can be a Deadmines boss and a member of the Defias Brotherhood at the same time, and only one of those is the group you need.
Three Ways to Play
- Daily: one board for everyone each day, changing at 00:00 UTC. Medium from Monday to Wednesday, Hard for the rest of the week. Solve it for up to three stars: three with no mistakes, two with one, one with two or three. Your first try each day goes on today’s leaderboard, ranked by stars and then by time. The page opens on it.
- Levels: four chapters of ten boards, from class spells to dungeons, foes and a free-for-all. Earn up to three stars per level; one hint per level shows a group name and caps that level at two stars. Collect 30 stars in a chapter to open its challenge board. Your best stars on every level add up on the stars leaderboard below the level map.
- Endless: pick Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert and clear as many boards as you can in one run. Every board is new. You start with 4 chances: a miss costs one, a cleared board gives one back and a hint costs one, and the run ends when none are left. You get a leaderboard name the first time you play, and clicking it changes it. Each difficulty has its own leaderboard, ranked by your best run.

How do you play Azeroth Connections?

When does the daily WoW puzzle change?
Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone gets the same board: Medium from Monday to Wednesday and Hard for the rest of the week.
How do stars and hints work in level mode?
There are four chapters of ten boards. Each level awards up to three stars; one hint per level reveals a group name and caps that level at two stars. Collect 30 stars in a chapter to open its challenge board.
Can I keep playing after the daily board?
Yes. Endless mode deals new boards at Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert for as long as your chances last, and a shared board link gives your friends the same puzzle.
How do the leaderboards work?
Your first pick on the daily board, or opening Levels or Endless, gives you a leaderboard name, shown at the top right of the game; click it to change it at any time. The daily board has its own leaderboard for that day only: your first try counts, ranked by stars and then by the fastest time, and it starts fresh at 00:00 UTC. Levels has a stars leaderboard ranked by your best stars across every level. In Endless, a run starts with 4 chances: a miss costs one, a cleared board gives one back, and a hint or a new board costs one. Each difficulty has its own leaderboard, ranked by your best run’s cleared boards. On any tie, whoever got there first ranks higher.
