1. Level First Aid from 1 to 300
The bandage ladder below uses the Forever recipe book’s own colours. Bandages need raw cloth — not bolts — so split your stacks with Tailoring before rolling anything into cloth bolts.
Craft counts are starting budgets: yellow bandages can miss a point, so keep a few extra cloth of each tier rather than stopping exactly at the target.
Stage 1 of 4 · Skill 1–75
Linen bandages and the First Aid Kit
Learn Apprentice First Aid at character level 5 from Nissa Firestone in Ironforge or Arnok in Orgrimmar; Journeyman comes from the same trainers at skill 50 and level 10. The First Aid Kit at skill 20 is the profession’s camp object.

Linen BandageCrafts:×41 - 40–75
Heavy Linen BandageCrafts:×45
always a pointyellow: may fail
Before you move on
Linen Bandage is the only early craft that matters — make them in batches and keep a stack for yourself. Bandages heal through combat damage; that is the whole reason to level this.
Stage 2 of 4 · Skill 75–150
Wool bandages and Expert training
At skill 125 and character level 20, learn Expert First Aid — the book vendors rather than the trainers carry it: look for Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and the Expert First Aid manual sold by Deneb Walker in Stromgarde or Balai Lok’Wein in Brackenwall.
Materials to buy
- 152
Wool Cloth
Crafting order
- 75–115
Wool BandageCrafts:×54 - 115–150
Heavy Wool BandageCrafts:×49
always a pointyellow: may fail
Before you move on
Keep both bandage types rolling while they are orange; wool is cheap and the heavy version is your dungeon standby. The potion recipes Forever moved here start appearing in this stretch.
Stage 3 of 4 · Skill 150–225
Silk bandages on the way to Triage
Artisan First Aid is the Triage quest, not a book: at skill 225 and character level 35, Alliance report to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore, Horde to Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall. Buy the bandage manuals first so the trip is one-way.

Heavy Silk BandageCrafts:×42 - 210–225
Mageweave BandageCrafts:×18
always a pointyellow: may fail
Before you move on
Heavy Mageweave Bandage is the pick of the ladder — cheap mageweave, strong heal. Do the Triage quest as soon as you are eligible so nothing in the next stage is capped.
Stage 4 of 4 · Skill 225–300
Runecloth bandages to 300
After Triage there are no more ranks — just cloth. Runecloth Bandage is taught by the manual vendors; Heavy Runecloth Bandage needs its own manual too. Buy both before the last grind.

Mageweave Cloth - 64
Runecloth
Crafting order
- 225–260
Heavy Mageweave BandageCrafts:×40 - 260–290
Runecloth BandageCrafts:×42 - 290–300
Heavy Runecloth BandageCrafts:×11
always a pointyellow: may fail
Before you move on
The last run is pure cloth spend. Keep a few Heavy Runecloth Bandages on every character — they remain useful long after the profession is maxed.
2. What First Aid Crafts Are Worth Making in Forever?
Forever moved the healing-potion line into First Aid and added poultices, tourniquets, a camp First Aid Kit and the Plague Doctor’s Laboratory — the secondary profession with the most to show for 300.
First Aid Kit
The profession’s camp object: a placed kit beside the campfire for seated allies, sharing the one-hour camp cooldown with the other facilities.
First Aid Kit
The healing-potion line
Forever gives alchemy’s healing potions to First Aid: Minor through Major Healing Potions are now bandage-adjacent crafts, which is why the leveling route never touches herbs.

Poultice and tourniquet lines
Poultices and tourniquets run beside the bandage ladder — small heals and utility crafts that give the profession more than one thing to make.

Toxin Study
A mid-book Forever craft: the study item feeds the anti-venom and poultice work higher up the ladder.
