About Deadwind Pass
For a journey between Duskwood and the Swamp of Sorrows, identify the western and eastern exits before you start. Visiting Karazhan is a separate detour from the crossing, rather than a necessary stop on the way to your next quest hub.
The map lists this region at levels 50–60. That range describes the area, not a continuous questing route. For quest experience, choose your faction route in the leveling guide and cross Deadwind Pass when your journey calls for it.
Use the map landmarks to check your position before taking a side path. Ariden’s Camp is marked at 52.31, 34.60; Deadwind Ravine at 40.31, 42.32; and the Grosh’gok Compound at 60.09, 74.73. These points help you orient yourself; they are not a suggested combat route.
Karazhan, Medivh’s tower, is the region’s central landmark. Keep a visit to the tower separate from your onward journey: identify the way back to the crossing before exploring the surrounding paths.
