Three companion pets in WoW Forever begin in places most players pass every day: a waterfall on Zephras Isle, the green canal in Undercity and the water running through Stormwind. None shows a marker, only the slime has a real quest, and one requires far more than a low-level solo player can handle.
These are three of the early secret pets, not the full collection. This guide separates the easy emote discoveries from the raid target, with the exact NPC, patrol area and item needed for each pet.

Musical Gustjumper: Sing to the Frog Choir on Zephras Isle
The
Musical Gustjumper is the cleanest of the three hunts and the only one both factions can finish without a group. Leave Thendal Village and follow the water south to the top of the waterfall at 51.5, 72.3.
You are looking for a group of Musical Gustjumpers gathered on a rock beside a fallen log. Jump onto the log, target one of the frogs and use /sing. The chorus sings back and disappears, leaving a clickable frog on the log. Click it to add the pet item (268109) to your bags, then use the item to learn the pet.

The trigger is the emote, not the cursor. If nothing happens, check that you targeted a frog rather than the log, and make sure another player has not just completed the same layer’s event.
How to Reach Zephras Isle
You do not need a Skyborne character for this pet. Alliance characters take the skycutter from Dalaran, and Horde characters take the airship that lands in northern Mulgore beside Thunder Bluff. Both arrive at Valanaar on the south coast, a short ride east of the waterfall.
Excitable Slime: Dance in the Undercity Canal
The
Excitable Slime is a Horde pet with a two-object route. Start with Boyle, the vendor on the bridge toward the Apothecarium, at 55.5, 64.1. Buy one
Nutritious Slime Sludge (278265) before entering the water.
Find the small slime patrolling the green canal around 54.4, 59.8. Stand on the canal steps or other solid ground beside it, target it and use /dance repeatedly. You cannot dance while swimming. This is not a one-click interaction: the slime can ignore several attempts before it dances back and offers the quest WRIGGLE. (97583). Hand over the sludge to finish the quest and receive the Excitable Slime pet item (275682).
1 · Boyle55.5, 64.12 · Canal patrol54.4, 59.8Once learned, the pet dances back when you use /dance with it summoned.
If the slime will not cooperate:
- Cannot dance? You are swimming. Climb onto the steps and target the slime from there.
- No quest yet? Keep dancing, and check that your target is the Excitable Slime itself.
- Quest will not complete? Keep one Nutritious Slime Sludge in your bags; do not eat it.
- Already done it?

Baby Crocolisk: Stormwind’s Level 50 Sewer Beast
The Baby Crocolisk is Alliance-only and the only pet here that needs a raid. The Sewer Beast patrols the canals beneath Stormwind and does not have a reliable fixed spawn point. It is a level 50 rare crocolisk, so a leveling group should treat it as a city raid target rather than a quick kill.
Bring enough players to survive its full patrol, clear the canal route before pulling and assign one person to loot. The Baby Crocolisk is a low-chance drop, so plan on several kills rather than one.
Central canal patrol56.0, 62.0Pet Hunting Order: Easy, Faction-Locked, Raid Target
Start with the Gustjumper whenever you reach Zephras Isle. It takes less than a minute and works for either faction. Undercity characters can finish the slime on the same city trip as their bank and auction house errands. Leave the Baby Crocolisk until your Alliance character is close to the level cap or can join a dedicated city raid.
Hidden Pet Checklist
- Sing at the Zephras waterfall. Stand on the log at 51.5, 72.3, target a frog, use
/sing, click the new frog and use the item. - Buy sludge before dancing. Boyle at 55.5, 64.1 sells the only turn-in item.
- Dance from the steps, not the water. The slime patrols around 54.4, 59.8.
- Use the city map for the Sewer Beast. Open the Stormwind map and follow the canals rather than waiting at one bridge.
- Plan the raid with Stormwind quests in mind. The canals connect several districts, so clear a long section instead of fighting beside NPC guards.
WoW Forever Hidden Pets: Gustjumper, Slime, Crocolisk Common Questions
Where do I get the Musical Gustjumper in WoW Forever?
Go to the top of the waterfall south of Thendal Village on Zephras Isle at 51.5, 72.3. The frogs sit on a rock beside a fallen log. Jump onto the log, target a frog, use /sing, then click the new frog that appears on the log and use the item to learn the pet.
Why is the Excitable Slime not giving me the WRIGGLE quest?
Buy Nutritious Slime Sludge from Boyle first, then stand on the canal steps, not in the water, and use /dance repeatedly on the slime. You cannot dance while swimming, and the emote can take several attempts before the quest appears.
Can I solo the Stormwind Sewer Beast for the Baby Crocolisk?
Not at low level. The Sewer Beast is a level 50 rare that patrols the Stormwind canals, so leveling characters need a group or raid. The Baby Crocolisk is a low-chance drop, so expect several kills.
Are the three hidden pets faction restricted?
The Musical Gustjumper is available to both factions. The Excitable Slime route is Horde-only and the Baby Crocolisk route is Alliance-only.
Do I need a Skyborne character for the Musical Gustjumper?
No. Any race can reach Zephras Isle: Alliance characters take the skycutter from Dalaran, and Horde characters take the airship from northern Mulgore beside Thunder Bluff.
Are these battle pets?
No. All three are non-combat companion pets. Each one arrives as an item; use it once to learn the pet, then summon it from your collection.
