About Blasted Lands
The Blasted Lands are the scar the world could not close. Here, Medivh and Gul’dan tore open the Dark Portal, and the orcs of the first Horde poured through into Azeroth. The ground still bears the wound: red earth, jagged rock, and a sky that never looks quite right.
When Ner’zhul’s attempt to reopen the portal collapsed Draenor, the Alliance destroyed the original gate and built Nethergarde Keep on the ruins to watch over it. Statues at the gates of Stormwind remember the heroes who marched through the portal and never returned, and the Blasted Lands remember why they left.
Nethergarde Keep keeps watch over it all, and its alchemy-focused quests are a generous reward for players on their way into the endgame.

Blasted Lands Leveling Guide for the Alliance, Levels 45–55
The Blasted Lands are a small, red wasteland south of Swamp of Sorrows, and almost all of the zone's quest work is five errands for the two bloodmages at the camp in the north: Bloodmage Drazial and Bloodmage Lynnore. Nethergarde Keep, the Alliance fort on the north-east side, is where several quests from other zones end, and the collector Kum'isha in the middle of the wasteland has one more quest for level 45 and up.
Monsters run from level 46 to 48 Redstone Basilisks to level 50 to 51 scorpids. Every item the bloodmages want is tradeable, so the shortest route is often the auction house.
1Before You Start: The Auction House
All five bloodmage quests ask for animal parts that can be traded. If you are in a hurry, buy these and hand them in the same trip; otherwise the hunting grounds are within a short ride of the camp.

2The Bloodmage Camp: Take All FiveLevel 45–50
Drazial and Lynnore stand next to each other at the camp in the north of the zone. Between them they give five quests, and every one asks for animal parts: take all five, because the same kills feed several of them.

3North of the Camp: Pincers, Jowls and GizzardsLevel 46–51
The scorpids, the Snickerfang Hyenas (49 to 50) and the vultures are all within reach of the camp. The scorpid pincers drop from the Scorpok Stingers (50 to 51), and the Vulture Gizzards are the biggest count: 14 across three quests, so keep killing vultures while you move.

4South: Boars and BasilisksLevel 46–50
Further south, the boars give the lungs and the Redstone Basilisks give the brains. Eleven brains is the other long count, so turn the basilisks into your main targets once the lungs are done.

5Kum'isha and Nethergarde KeepLevel 45–55
Kum'isha the Collector sits in the middle of the wasteland with Everything Counts In Large Amounts, which asks for Imperfect Draenethyst Fragments; they are tradeable, so a visit to the auction house can save the walk.
Nethergarde Keep, on the north-east side, is where quests from the other zones come home: Sharpbeak's Feather to Thadius Grimshade, the Khadgar's Essays to Watcher Mahar Ba, and the powerstones and the shipment to Quartermaster Lungertz. Take the flight path while you are there.
