Hillsbrad Foothills

About Hillsbrad Foothills

Hillsbrad was once an orchard country of orderly farms and quiet harbors, and the marks of that peace are still on the land. The Horde’s fleet anchored off its coast in the Second War, and the foothills later held internment camps where the Alliance kept its captured orcs.

One of them, Durnholde Keep, belonged to the ambitious Aedelas Blackmoore, who raised a captive orc infant as his gladiator and named him Thrall. Blackmoore’s cruelty is remembered as the beginning of a legend that ended in Orgrimmar, and Southshore and Tarren Mill now face each other across the same hills.

Southshore and Tarren Mill stare at each other across the foothills, and that stare makes Hillsbrad one of the liveliest places for world PvP in Azeroth. Its fields, farms, and orchards hold plenty of quests too, with the Alterac Mountains to the north and the Arathi Highlands to the east.
