About Hyjal Summit
The Third War ended on this mountain. Archimonde came up it expecting the World Tree, and what he got instead was every wisp in Ashenvale arriving at once — the night elves spent themselves and their immortality in a single detonation at the summit, and the Burning Legion's campaign on Azeroth ended in the space of a few seconds.
Nordrassil survived, barely, and has been recovering ever since under a guard that never stood down. The summit is sacred ground and quarantined ground at the same time: the druids keep it, the Cenarion Circle watches it, and nobody with any sense treats the place where a demon lord died as simply finished.
It was not finished. Something at the top of Hyjal has been stirring in ground that was supposed to have been made safe by the most expensive victory in night elf history, and the order that holds the mountain has stopped being able to keep it to itself.
First Run
- The summit is atop Mount Hyjal, playable in Forever for the first time.
- Twenty players at maximum level.
- Unlocks December 9, 2026, with Barrow Deeps and Onyxia's Lair.

Changes in Forever
- A new raid in a newly playable region. Mount Hyjal is closed in Classic. Forever opens it and puts a 20-player raid at the summit, unlocking December 9, 2026 with Barrow Deeps and Onyxia's Lair.
