About Drowned City
The Stranglethorn coast keeps its secrets underwater. The Gurubashi empire ran all the way down to the sea at its height, and when it broke, whole districts of it went under with the shoreline. Ships have been going down on those reefs ever since, some by accident, and the wrecks have piled up on top of the ruins until it is hard to say where one ends.
The naga were there first and the pirates arrived later, and neither has managed to push the other out. What is left is a drowned city with two sets of occupants who agree on nothing except that the salvage is theirs, and a great deal of it still sitting on the bottom waiting to be argued over.
First Run
- The city lies off the Stranglethorn Vale coast.

Changes in Forever
- A new dungeon. Drowned City is one of nine dungeons added in Forever, filling the late thirties where the old route runs thin.
