About Azshara
Azshara is the name of a queen and the memory of an empire. Ten thousand years ago, the night elf capital stood on these shores, a city of bejeweled spires beside the Well of Eternity, and the queen’s Highborne were so enamored of the Well’s power that they opened a door to the Burning Legion. When the Well was destroyed, the capital sank beneath the sea, and the Highborne were dragged down with it.
What the coast keeps are the fragments. Broken temples and ruined halls line the shore, and in the water below lie the naga: the Highborne who found a dark salvation in the depths. Adventurers who come here are looking at the last drowned corner of the greatest empire Kalimdor ever knew.
It is a remote zone for adventurers in their late forties and fifties, with rewarding quests along its shores.

Azshara Leveling Guide for the Alliance, Levels 45–53
Azshara is the sprawling coast of ruins on the north-east shore of Kalimdor, and for the Alliance it is a three-stop trip: the Highborne ghosts and Haldarr satyrs at Shadowsong Shrine, the rune rubbings in the Ruins of Eldarath, and the goblin Kim'jael on the cliffs above the Bay of Storms. Everything here is level 45 and up, so arrive ready.
The satyrs run from level 45 to 47, the Highborne from 45 to 47, and the Spitelash naga around the ruins from 48 to 52. Almost every quest item is a quest-only drop, so only the hippogryph feathers are worth a look at the auction house first.
1Before You Start: The Auction House
Sanath Lim-yo's A Meeting with the Master wants two Undamaged Hippogryph Feathers, which are tradeable and drop from the hippogryphs here. A quick look at the auction house saves the search.

2Shadowsong Shrine: Ghosts and SatyrsLevel 45–47
Loh'atu waits at the shrine just off the road. The Highborne ghosts haunt the ruins just north of the shrine, and the Haldarr satyrs camp a little further north. Loh'atu gives you both quests, so kill the ghosts and the satyrs in the same trip.

3Ruins of Eldarath: Rune RubbingsLevel 45–52
The rune rubbings for Arcane Runes are inside the ruins on the south-west coast; the Spitelash naga that guard them are level 48 to 52, and any Siren or Myrmidon can carry the Some Rune that Kim'jael wants as well.
Sanath Lim-yo's feathers are at the cliffs to the west.

4Kim'jael and the Thalassian CampLevel 47–53
Ride north-east to the goblin's camp on the cliffs above the Bay of Storms. The blood elves' Thalassian Base Camp lies just south of Kim'jael, and his four belongings lie in the crates around the camp: the compass, the scope, the wizzlegoober and the stuffed chicken.

Azshara Leveling Guide for the Horde, Levels 45–56
Azshara is the sprawling coast of ruins on the north-east shore of Kalimdor. Valormok is the Horde camp and flight point; Jediga, Ag'tor Bloodfist and Sanath Lim-yo are all there. From it you make three trips: Shadowsong Shrine in the north-west for the ghosts and satyrs, the Ruins of Eldarath on the coast for the tablets, and the goblin Kim'jael and the blood elves of the Thalassian Base Camp on the cliffs above the Bay of Storms.
The satyrs and the Highborne are level 45 to 47, the Spitelash naga around Eldarath 48 to 52, and the blood elves at the Thalassian camp 51 to 55; Magus Rimtori at the end is 55. Almost every quest item is a quest-only drop, so only the hippogryph feathers are worth a look at the auction house.

2Shadowsong Shrine: Ghosts and SatyrsLevel 45–47
Ride east along the road out of Splintertree Post; Loh'atu waits at Shadowsong Shrine just off the road, a few steps west of the Alliance's Talrendis Point. Come in from the west and keep clear of the Azshara Sentinels and Jarrodenus, the elite that patrols the area. The ghosts haunt the ruins just north of the shrine, and the Haldarr satyrs camp a little further north.

Follow the road north to Valormok. Jediga sends you for the four tablets in Eldarath; each one is then carried to a different city, so take the quests together. Sanath Lim-yo's feather quest is a short trip south of the camp.

4Ruins of Eldarath: The Four TabletsLevel 45–52
The four tablets lie among the ruins on the coast, guarded by the Spitelash naga; any Siren or Myrmidon can carry Kim'jael's rune. Cuely's four vials for Seeping Corruption are filled at the tide pools along the shore, with Spitelash naga patrolling between them.

5Kim'jael and the Thalassian CampLevel 47–56
Ride north-east to the goblin's camp on the cliffs above the Bay of Storms. The blood elves' Thalassian Base Camp lies just south of him: Kim'jael's four belongings lie in the crates there, and the Blood Elf Reclaimers (52 to 53) and Surveyors (51 to 52) stand around them for Betrayed.
Magus Rimtori's camp is at the east end of the base camp. Read the Kaldorei Tome of Summoning there, kill the Magus and take his head back to Ag'tor in Valormok. The last link of Betrayed sends you to Belgrom Rockmaul in Orgrimmar.
