About Eastern Plaguelands
Stratholme was once the crown of Lordaeron, the city where the first paladins were trained, and it fell in one night. Prince Arthas, convinced the plague had already claimed the citizens, ordered the city purged; the fires of the Culling were the moment the prince’s heart broke. He sailed for Northrend within days, and the city he left behind became a stronghold of the undead.
The land around it went the way of its capital. Rotting forests, haunted farms, and the shadow of Naxxramas, the floating necropolis, now hang over the eastern reaches. At the center of the darkness stands Light’s Hope Chapel, the last refuge of those who refuse to yield, where the Argent Dawn gathers everyone willing to stand against the plague.
Stratholme sits at the northern edge of the Plaguelands, and the land around it is packed with endgame quests and flight paths for level 60 players.

Eastern Plaguelands Leveling Guide for the Alliance, Levels 50–60
Eastern Plaguelands is the Alliance's endgame questing zone before 60, and its base is Light's Hope Chapel in the east. The quests here are short, high-level jobs: the spirits and relics of Darrowshire, the Scourgestones that earn Argent Dawn reputation, and a few errands to the north-west for the Stratholme chain.
Monsters run from level 53 to 60, with the Scourge Champions at the top of the range and the Rangers of Quel'Lithien as hard fights. Most of the plague zone is hostile open ground, so you do the quests in a long loop from the chapel and return to it to hand in.
1Light's Hope Chapel: The BaseLevel 50–60
Carlin Redpath, Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff and Caretaker Alen stand at the chapel. Take everything on offer here, then work outward. Plaguehounds and their runts roam the shores of Lake Mereldar south-west of the chapel.
The Scourgestones come from the Scourge around the chapel and the Scourge Champions east of it.

2Darrowshire and PamelaLevel 50–56
Pamela Redpath waits in the ruins of Darrowshire in the south-west. Her quests lead to the doll and then to her uncle Carlin at the chapel. Villains of Darrowshire sends you to Blackwood Lake and the Infectis Scar for the skull of Horgus and the shattered sword of Marduk.
Davil's Libram lies in the town hall of Hearthglen, and Redpath's Shield east of the barn at Gahrron's Withering, both across the border in the Western Plaguelands.

3The Plaguewood, Terrordale and the NorthLevel 52–60
Plaguehound Runts and Plaguebats roam the hills north of the Marris Stead; work north toward Terrordale. Egan stands by Augustus' hut in Terrordale, in the north-west corner. Augustus the Touched wants his receipt books from the surrounding woods.
Aurora Skycaller waits at Quel'Lithien Lodge, at the edge of the Plaguewood, for the Troubled Spirits of Kel'Theril relic fragments.

4The UndercroftLevel 54–60
A torn scroll lies at the entrance of the Undercroft, the crypt in the south-west of the zone, and Infiltrator Hameya hides among the Mossflayer trolls of Zul'Mashar in the north-east corner.
Taelan's Hammer is dropped by Mercutio Filthgorger in the south-west.

Eastern Plaguelands Leveling Guide for the Horde, Levels 50–60
The Horde reaches Eastern Plaguelands by flight from the Undercity to Light's Hope Chapel, the shared base in the east. Its quests are the same Darrowshire and Scourgestone jobs as the Alliance has, plus the Banshee Queen's own: Nathanos Blightcaller at the Marris Stead sends you to Quel'Lithien Lodge and the plaguebats of the Plaguewood.
Monsters run from level 53 to 60, with Rangers (59–60) at Quel'Lithien Lodge the toughest. The Plaguewood's Living Rot spoils within ten minutes, so do that part in one go.
1Light's Hope Chapel and DarrowshireLevel 50–60
Fly from the Undercity's flight master in the Trade Quarter's west tower to the chapel. Plaguehounds and their runts roam the shores of Lake Mereldar south-west of the chapel. The shattered sword lies on the ground northwest of the lake, and the skull sits in the Pestilent Scar, among Blighted Horrors and Plague Monstrosities.

2The Marris Stead and Nathanos BlightcallerLevel 54–60
The Banshee Queen's champion holds the Marris Stead farmhouse. A torn scroll lies at the entrance of the Undercroft, the crypt south of the Marris Stead, and the Mound of Dirt is just behind it. Plaguehound Runts and Plaguebats roam the hills north of the farm and Carrion Grubs crawl among them.
Quel'Lithien Lodge, by Northpass Tower, is guarded by high elf Rangers, Pathstriders and Woodsmen; the Registry lies inside. Rangers reach 60: pull one at a time. Corin's Crossing is where the Living Rot spoils: kill the town's Scourge quickly and grind the seven pieces with the Mortar and Pestle at once.

Egan the ghost stands by Augustus' hut in Terrordale, in the north-west corner. Plaguebats, plaguehound runts and carrion grubs roam the woods around it. Frenzied Plaguehounds and Monstrous Plaguebats share the fields around Northdale and Eastwall Tower, south of Zul'Mashar.
Augustus the Touched wants his receipt books.
