The WoW Forever beta moved to build 1.60.1.70009 on September 24. Blizzard’s development notes cover the headline changes: class tuning for every class, Cooldown Manager testing, new gamepad options, and a long list of quest fixes. Read them first.
This datamine compares builds 69977 and 70009, adding details not individually listed in the September 24 development notes. Some relate to systems Blizzard has already announced. Client records can reveal upcoming changes without confirming that a feature or reward is available in the beta.
Nearly 200 New Statistics Counters
The client adds 197 statistics records across categories including Combat, Kills, Deaths, Quests, Skills, Travel, Social, Character, Player vs. Player, and Dungeons & Raids. The counters cover:
- Deaths, split by cause (falling, drowning, fatigue, fire and lava) and by battleground, plus deaths to other players.
- Combat records: largest hit dealt and received, largest heal, total damage and healing.
- Wealth: gold looted, gold from quests, auctions posted and bought, and the most gold you have ever held.
- Travel and consumables: flight paths taken, Mage portals, hearths, bandages, potions, food, and drinks.
- Dungeon runs: 5-player dungeons, 10-, 20-, and 40-player raids entered.
Boss kill counters cover the final bosses of the classic dungeons and the new Forever instances:
| Instance | Boss kill counters |
|---|---|
| Ruins of Lordaeron | Rath’mael |
| City of Dalaran | Shade of the Archmage, Lyn the Ignored |
| Hall of Thanes | Durgen Dirgehammer |
| The Shaper’s Terrace | Nanaya, Cinder, Bolt, Snowtalon |
| Alcaz Prison | Blazeroar |
| Hyjal Summit | The Wild King |
| Barrow Deeps | Sonya Darkhallow |
A Boss Encounter Entry for Miner Johnson
Miner Johnson, the rare miner in The Deadmines, now has his own boss encounter entry for the dungeon.
Kirin Tor Starts at Neutral for the Alliance
The client changes the starting Kirin Tor reputation for Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves, and Gnomes from Hated (−12,000) to Neutral (0). Blizzard’s notes already mention “faction adjustments” around Dalaran, but do not specify these reputation values. Every reputation is on our factions page.
Potions Retuned
Spellblasting and Mender’s potions gain larger bonuses. Frenzy potions change from a physical-damage effect to melee and ranged Attack Power. Their old and new numbers measure different attributes, so the increase is not a doubling of their benefit.
| Rank | Frenzy (Physical Damage → Attack Power) | Spellblasting (Spell Damage) | Mender’s (Spell Healing) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minor | 6 → 12 | 6 → 7 | 8 → 13 |
| Lesser | 9 → 18 | 9 → 11 | 14 → 20 |
| Standard | 14 → 28 | 14 → 16 | 28 → 31 |
| Greater | 20 → 40 | 20 → 23 | 38 → 44 |
| Superior | 28 → 56 | 28 → 33 | 50 → 62 |
| Major | 40 → 80 | 40 → 47 | 75 → 88 |
Other potions receive damage, duration, and name changes. The damage numbers below are base values:
| Potion | Change |
|---|---|
| Dragonfire Potion | Cone blast 450 → 280 Fire damage; burn 125 → 35 per tick |
| Caustic Smog Potion | Base cloud damage 300 → 33 Nature per tick, with damage variance |
| Potion of Elemental Purging | Renamed from Potion of Elemental Siphoning; bonus against Elementals 265 → 105 Spell Damage; duration 2 → 5 min |
| Potion of Beast Slaying | Renamed from Potion of Beast Culling; bonuses against Beasts change from 108 Spell Damage and 185 Attack Power to 180 Attack Power; duration 2 → 5 min |
| Potion of Demon Slaying | Renamed from Potion of Demonslaying; bonuses against Demons change from 108 Spell Damage and 185 Attack Power to 180 Attack Power; duration 2 → 5 min |

Crafting Spells Removed for 27 Recipes
The crafting spells behind 27 new recipes are gone from the client. Each Adaptive set had a chest, wrist and waist piece.
| Profession | Affected recipes |
|---|---|
| Tailoring | Slimeslayer’s and Slimetender’s Adaptive sets (6) |
| Leatherworking | Beastculler’s, Dinodestroyer’s, Beastmender’s and Dinomender’s Adaptive sets (12) |
| Blacksmithing | Earthcrusher’s and Earthweaver’s Adaptive sets (6) |
| Engineering | Sludge Suppressor, Enormous Tranquilizer Dart, G.R.R.-Nade (3) |
The pattern and schematic items remain and still reference the removed crafting spells. This is a change to the recipe data; it does not establish whether the server allows the recipes to be learned.
Four New Armor Sets
The client names four new item sets: Rotmender’s Raiment, Violet Sorcerer’s Vestments, Krol’dok Battlegear and Defias Enforcer’s Garb. Each set links five items. Of these four sets, only Rotmender’s Raiment has bonus entries in this build:
| Pieces | Rotmender’s Raiment bonus |
|---|---|
| 2 | +10 Intellect |
| 3 | All threat you generate is reduced by 5% |
| 4 | When your Mana falls below 15%, restore 600 Mana over 15 sec (once every 5 min) |
| 5 | Your healing spells can apply Rotmending, healing 40 every 3 sec for 15 sec |
Other Client Changes
- Chastise gains a Humanoid restriction in its targeting data, matching its existing tooltip.
- Reagent Economy loses the Tier 1 camping reagent exemption from its tooltip, while retaining the class-ability reagent exemption. Blizzard’s Legacy overview still lists free Tier 1 camping crafts; the tooltip edit alone does not confirm that benefit has been removed.
- Legacy talent resets: the internal recharge period for the record tracking recent Legacy resets changes from one hour to one week. This does not establish a once-per-week respec limit. The notes describe class talent respec costs returning to 1 silver after one hour.
- PvP staves: the Premier High Warlord’s War Staff and Premier Grand Marshal’s Stave swap Spirit for Spell Penetration.
- Item detail records removed: Linken’s Sword of Mastery, Spirit of Aquementas, Hardened Stone Band, Frigid Ring, Tempestria’s Frozen Necklace, and eight fruit and fruit pulp items lose their detailed client records. Their base item entries remain.
- Companion data: a summon spell is added for Spawn of Grubthor.
- A tiered challenge: a new error message reads “One may only enter De Empire’s Rest and challenge Kindo’jan on Tiers 8 or above.”
- Undead Paladins: Holy Light gains a skill association for Undead Paladins, a race/class combination Blizzard has already announced.
- Interface text: new strings describe Discord voice chat, Who-list sorting, and hit, crit, haste, dodge, and parry percentages in item comparisons. These strings do not establish that the features are enabled. Updated ruleset text echoes the previously announced separation between rulesets; Blizzard’s ruleset overview allows cross-ruleset battlegrounds for non-Hardcore characters.
